Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MuscleMath Tuition ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit our website, submit an enquiry form, or respond to one of our advertisements. We handle personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us through our enquiry forms. Most of our pages carry a short enquiry form. Depending on the form, we ask for some or all of the following:
- Name of the student and/or the parent or guardian making the enquiry
- Email address
- Contact number
- School
- Education level (for example Secondary 3, JC1, JC2)
- Subject or programme of interest
- Preferred class, timing or location
- Any message or additional details you choose to type in
- Referral name, where you tell us who referred you
These forms appear on our home page and on the following pages: /contact-musclemathtuition/, /h2-math-tuition/, /a-level-math-tuition/, /o-level-math-tuition/, /secondary-math-tuition, /freetrial, /rates, /crash-course-classes-form, /about-musclemath-tuition/ and /regular-class/.
Information from Google lead forms. If you see one of our advertisements on Google and fill in the enquiry form attached to it, that form is hosted by Google, not by us. Google collects the details you enter - typically your name, email address and phone number - and passes them to MuscleMath Tuition so that we can follow up with you. Google's own handling of that data is governed by Google's privacy policy.
Where the student is under 18. Our classes are largely for secondary school and junior college students. Where the student is under 18, we expect the enquiry to be made by a parent or legal guardian, and we treat the details supplied as having been provided with that parent's or guardian's consent. If you believe a child has submitted their details to us without a parent's knowledge, please contact us using the details in Section 7 and we will remove them.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site we automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, how long you stayed, and the website or advertisement that brought you here. This is described further in Section 3.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Reply to your enquiry by phone, WhatsApp, SMS or email
- Arrange trial lessons, class placements and registrations
- Send you details about schedules, fees, materials and programme changes relating to a class you have enquired about or enrolled in
- Issue invoices and keep proper business records
- Understand which pages and advertisements are useful, so we can improve the site
- Measure the performance of our advertising, including which advertisement led to an enquiry
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations
We will not use your contact details to send you marketing messages about unrelated products or services. If we send you promotional messages about our own classes and you would rather not receive them, you can tell us to stop at any time - see Section 6.
3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help us understand how the site is used and how our advertising performs. The tools we use are:
- Google Analytics 4 - tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, and how they found us. It does not tell us your name.
- Google Tag Manager - the container we use to manage the tracking tags on the site.
- Google Ads - lets us see which advertisements lead to enquiries, and lets us show our advertisements to people who have visited the site before (remarketing).
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. You can also:
- Opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- Adjust the advertisements Google shows you at myadcenter.google.com
Blocking cookies will not stop you from using the site, though some parts may behave differently.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where it is necessary to run our classes and our website, namely with:
- Google LLC - through Google Ads, Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, as described in Section 3, and through Google lead forms as described in Section 1.
- Our email provider - enquiries are delivered to and stored in our business inbox at admin@musclemathtuition.com so our team can follow up. We do not use a separate customer relationship management system.
- Our website and hosting providers - who keep the site running and store form submissions.
- Our tutors and administrative staff - who need the details to place a student in a class and to teach them.
- Authorities or professional advisers - where we are required to disclose information by law.
Some of these providers store data outside Singapore. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the data receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.
5. Data Retention & Security
If you send us an enquiry but do not go on to join a class, we keep your enquiry details for one month from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted.
Records relating to students who have enrolled are kept for as long as the student is with us, and afterwards for five years, so that we can deal with follow-up questions and meet the record-keeping period Singapore tax law requires for invoicing and accounting records.
We protect personal data with access controls, password protection on the accounts that hold enquiry data, and encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our website. No system is completely secure, but we review our arrangements periodically and restrict access to staff who need it.
6. Your Rights
Under the PDPA you may:
- Ask what we hold about you and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year.
- Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Withdraw your consent to us collecting, using or disclosing your personal data. Email or call our Data Protection Officer using the details in Section 7 and tell us what you would like us to stop. We will act on it, and we will explain the likely consequences - for example, we may no longer be able to contact you about a class you enquired about.
To make a request, contact our Data Protection Officer at the details in Section 7. We may need to verify your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days; if we need longer, we will tell you when to expect our reply.
